Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It means the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That will be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
